Multi-Clear

The Multi-Clear is a laser capable of advanced Selective Photo-Clearing (SPC), a revolutionary technology for effective and safe treatment of common skin disorders as well as aesthetic conditions such as stretch marks. It uses high intensity narrow band UVB (psoriasis), dermatitis UVAI (keloids, morphea), and optimized blend of UVB and UVAI and bluelight (acne).

What are Stretch Marks?

Stretch Marks are depigmented linear areas of skin caused by irreversible rupture of elastic fibers in the deeper layers of the skin.

What is Multi-Clear?

The Multi-Clear is an advanced, sophisticated phototherapeutic system allowing your doctor to treat multiple medical and aesthetic skin disorders including stretch marks.

Using a computerized interface the doctor will choose the optimal wavelength to repigment stretch marks. The treatment session normally lasts no more than 5-8 minutes and is pain free.

How does it work?

The Multi-Clear uses a proprietary blend of two wavelengths (UVB and UVA1) that have proved optimal in repigmentation of “white” skin. The wavelengths of light emitted by the Multi-Clear trigger special skin cells (melanocytes) to produce new melanin in the non-pigmented white skin and darken the existing non-colored melanin to match normal skin color.

The blend of these two specific wavelengths in one pulse of light allows a pain free treatment with minimal post-treatment redness.

What will I feel?

Most patients would experience some redness in the treatment areas. Redness usually appears 24 hours after therapy and is pain free. In rare cases a slight sunburn – like phenomena will appear. Redness will usually subside after 3-5 days.

What are the expected results?

Treatments are effective for all skin types and ages. Published clinical work has shown that partial pigmentation of stretch marks treated by the Multi-Clear starts after 3-6 treatments. Treatments are usually delivered twice a week for 4-6 weeks.

Clinical experience shows over 80 percent response rate which varies among patients.

Is Multi-Clear safe?

Excessive UV light exposure is associated with skin aging and should normally be avoided. Although reaction to the Multi-Clear treatments can be compared to reaction to sunlight, it delivers the light only to treated areas without any damage to normal healthy skin. In addition, Multi-Clear uses only the specific wavelengths needed to repigment skin using exact doses to match individual skin sensitivity and color. Multi-Clear enables effective therapy with considerably smaller light doses than needed in full body tanning on the beach or artificial light tanning parlors.

Advantages of Multi-Clear treatment

• Effectively repigments stretch marks
• Safe targeted treatment
• Painless procedure
• No downtime – after treatment you can immediately return to your daily routine
• Treatment lasts only a few minutes
• FDA approved

Proven Clinical Results

• Targeted UVB has shown to be effective in the treatment of Psoriasis and Vitiligo
• In Psoriasis, narrow band UVB has been shown affect both proliferating keratinocytes, reducing their excessive hyperproliferation and lesional lymphocytes decreasing tissue inflammation.
• In Vitiligo, targeted narrow band UVB has shown to be effective and considerably faster than PUVA in the repigmentation of a hypopigmented areas
• Multi-Clear targeted UVA mode is specially tuned to be used for medium and high dose UVA1 phototherapy of atopic dermatitis, hypopigmented scars, striae gravidarum, morphea, keloids, topical PUVA and UVA phototesting
