This will take up the bulk of the procedure. Finally, a radiofrequency treatment with gel is done to help stimulate collagen and skin cell growth in the area.

Is it painful? How is the downtime?

“The problem though is downtime, and it’s a little painful,” Dr. Belo said. Since the procedure involves microneedles, you can expect some measure of pain, depending on your tolerance level. You will walk out of the treatment room with some redness and swelling. The downtime can take 3-5 days.
