The Belo Medical Group uses cohesive silicone gel prosthesis, which is known to be softer, and feels and looks more natural for breast augmentation. Incisions can be made in three different areas: Axillary (through the armpit), Peri-areolar (through the half circle of the areola) or Infra-mammary (beneath the breast). The latter is the most recommended, as it provides faster healing with minimal scarring.
What it targets:
Improvement of the appearance of small breasts (hypoplasia) or mildly sagging breasts (mild breast ptosis)
The procedure takes about two to four hours, inclusive of the recovery period. It is done under general anesthesia on an out-patient basis. Post-surgery, you will be advised not to lift, stretch and drive for about three weeks. Only brassieres without underwire or sports bras may be used for a month. After one month, you may resume regular activities as tolerated.
