Fat transfer, a.k.a. fat grafting or fat injection, is a technique that transfers fat from areas where you have excess fat—like your outer thighs—and injects it into areas that may be lacking in volume. The use of autologous fat (or fat from your own body) reduces the likelihood of allergic reactions to foreign substances.
What it targets:
Body parts that lack volume or shape, such as the face, hands, breasts, and butt
You will be sedated with anesthesia and the length of the procedure depends on how much fat is removed and the number of liposuction sites. Post-op, there will be swelling and bruising for seven to 10 days, so it’s best to refrain from strenuous activities.
