Cosmetic surgery is a type of medical operation that focuses on the enhancement of one’s appearance through surgical and medical techniques. It can be performed on all areas of the head, neck, and body by a professional aesthetic surgeon.
Belo Medical Group in the Philippines offers a variety of cosmetic enhancement options—both surgical and non-surgical; these include: Breast enhancement (augmentation, lift, and reduction), facial and body contouring (liposuction, chin augmentation, cheekbone augmentation, etc.), and facial and skin plastic surgery (face lift, hair restoration, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, etc.).
Consult with a Belo doctor about cosmetic surgery that will best suit you.
Auto Fat Transfer uses the patient’s own fat, which is rich in stem cells to fill and improve the sunken areas of the face, correcting the lost volume and rejuvenating the aging face. It helps reverse the natural aging process by tightening the skin to reduce sagging.
VIEW DETAILSBodyTite is a non-invasive Radio Frequency Assisted LipoTightening (RFALT) device melts fat and tightens the skin to contour the body. It generates focused energy on the fatty areas with no danger of skin damage, so you won’t need to worry about saggy skin—skin will look firm and tight post-treatment!
VIEW DETAILSThe Belo Medical Group uses cohesive silicone gel prosthesis, which is known to be softer, and feels and looks more natural for breast augmentation. Incisions can be made in three different areas: Axillary (through the armpit), Peri-areolar (through the half circle of the areola) or Infra-mammary (beneath the breast). The last one is the most recommended, as it provides faster healing with minimal scarring.
Also known as Mastopexy, breast lift surgery restores a perkier, firmer shape to sagging breasts by removing the excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to support and reshape the new breast contour.
VIEW DETAILSAlso known as reduction mammaplasty, the goal of this procedure is to create a size that’s more proportional to the body, or to alleviate the discomfort of having overly large breasts. Excess breast fat, glandular tissue, and skin in the breasts will be removed and the nipple will also be repositioned.
Whether your “chubby cheeks” are due to being overweight or even a genetic predisposition, cheek reduction surgery can address this issue by removing these fat pads to slim down the face for a more chiseled appearance.
VIEW DETAILSButt Augmentation makes use of silicone gel butt implants to help make the buttocks appear fuller and improve the balance of your figure. The implants are placed in the intramuscular layer of the butt, through an incision hidden inside the natural buttock crease. The two-hour procedure is safe, and the effect is permanent.
This procedure makes use of a synthetic material—a silicone implant—to improve the outward projection of the chin, a.k.a. the mentum. The silicone implant is shaped to suit and complement the natural contour of the patient’s jaw.
A facelift (with an accompanying necklift) removes excess fat in the face and neck, and the subsequent nip and tuck of overlying skin to tighten for a more youthful appearance. It’s a simple and safe procedure, and complications are infrequent and usually minor. While some early signs of aging can be addressed by non-invasive procedures, surgical treatments may be best for more severe cases—usually for patients in their 40s to 60s.
Fat transfer, a.k.a. fat grafting or fat injection, is a technique that transfers fat from areas where you have excess fat—like your outer thighs—and injects it into areas that may be lacking in volume. The use of autologous fat (or fat from your own body) reduces the likelihood of allergic reactions to foreign substances.
The effects of hair transplantation are permanent. During the procedure, live hair follicles are redistributed from the back and sides of the head, known as the “donor area,” to bald spots on the head, as well as on the eyebrows and eyelids. Local anesthesia is administered on the donor site from which strips of hair are removed and dissected into hair grafts. The recipient area is then prepared and anesthetized to allow placement of the grafts. Hair starts to grow after six to eight weeks at approximately 1 cm a month—for the rest of your life.
This cosmetic eyelid surgery tightens the eyelid skin and removes the bags caused by bulging fat deposits. At the Belo Medical Group, a Carbon Dioxide laser is used to make incisions—absolutely no knives or scalpels. This means less swelling and bruising, plus a quicker recovery period.
VIEW DETAILSThis type of liposuction uses laser heat to dissolve or liquefy the fat, making it easier to suction out and resulting in less bruising for the patient. The laser pulses are released through a fiber-optic tip, which is inserted into the fat layer of the skin via a thin cannula.
VIEW DETAILSMalar Augmentation creates a more youthful appearance by emphasizing your cheekbones, or filling in sunken, gaunt cheeks. The cheek fat pad is removed from the cheekbone through the incision in the mouth, and then is passed under the skin to the incision in the temple area. This elevates the cheek fat pad and the corner of the mouth for a more lifted look. The bagginess of the lower eyelids can also be removed through these cheek procedures. Silicone implants or fat grafts (excess fats from other parts of the body) may also be used enhance and reshape the cheeks.
Otoplasty, a.k.a ear surgery, surgically moves the ears closer to the head to permanently correct protruding ears or make them more proportional to your face. The doctor usually removes excess cartilage and skin, or reposition the cartilage, before securing with internal stitches.
VIEW DETAILSMore commonly referred to as a nose job, this cosmetic surgery involves reshaping and resizing the nose to enhance facial harmony or to restore structure and function, especially after an injury. The surgery may last anywhere from one to two hours, depending on the extent of the surgery needed. It is usually done under twilight sedation and is an out-patient procedure.
VIEW DETAILSDubbed as a non-surgical facelift, Thermilift is the first and only injectable Radio Frequency machine that delivers controlled heat directly under the skin, inducing collagen formation and tightening the skin. A minimal amount of stubborn fat deposits in the treatment area are also melted away, and the liquefied fat is then excreted out of the body naturally.
VIEW DETAILSA Tummy Tuck is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat in the belly area—as well as tighten the abdominal wall muscles—for a flatter-looking tummy. This is ideal for those who are in relatively good shape but are bothered by a large fat deposit or loose abdominal skin that won’t respond to diet or exercise.
A full tummy tuck requires a horizontal incision from between the belly button and the pubic hairline, with the length and shape dependent on the amount of excess skin. Once the abdominal skin is lifted, the underlying abdominal muscles are repaired.
